ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION

Money is probably one of the biggest issues in today’s life. And that’s because all we talk about is money. But the more we talk, the less we have. Money is not something to talk about, but something to do and to do well. In order to have money, one has to be good in planning his day by day life, his schedule and even his way of thinking.

Entrepreneurial education is a component of the culture and an important domain which helps the future graduates to enter the social and professional life.

Entrepreneurial education is an approach of great complexity. It addresses economic and social problems. This module has a practical character because it involves the development of specific skills that students can use in their day by day life. Teaching and learning activities are required to be centered on students’ interests and to rely on economic reality.

Entrepreneurial education aims to provide skills, knowledge and motivation in order to encourage the students to engage themselves in entrepreneurial activities which provides them success in a variety of directions. At the moment, entrepreneurship is offered under a variety of forms, at all levels of schooling, from lower or upper secondary level to university programs.

Entrepreneurial education is distinguished from other forms of education because it focuses on the reaction opportunities, while management education is focused on the best way to operate existing structures. In both approaches, the interest is the same, namely production of "profit" in any form (for non-profit organizations government, it may take the form either of increasing services, either reduce costs or increase capacity to respond to requests customers or citizens).

The aims of our module - what should, in a word, teach our children to develop an entrepreneurial spirit?

  • Labor motivation: To live and to manifest themselves in relationships with peers, people must consume a variety of goods and services, and also need to cover a variety of needs.

  • Choosing the professional path: Career represents all professions, trades, occupations, social roles, family functions, work experiences, leisure and hobbies - it is life itself.

  • Resources: Students will recognize resources and will be classified by their characteristics. Resources have a limited character and it requires their rational allocation.

  • Production cycle of goods: The student must identify natural resources that will pass through a production process and turned into goods for consumption.

  • Product promotions: Sales and promotion are considered separately because they are different things. No aspect of the business is more important than determining how sales will be made. Without sales it isn’t business no matter how good the production and marketing research is.

  • Starting and running a business: The business plan and SWOT analysis are necessary tools used in starting and running a business. This harnesses the experience and achievements of the past in order to build the future by the most appropriate methods of estimation and approximation. There is no success without risk, so besides the success factors of a business we should take into account risk factors.

  • Market’s forms: Students are taught to recognize as many market’s forms: money market, labor market, capital market.

The aims of our module are:

To solve problems - Put the student in different more difficult situations, ask how to solve some things and explain them the process by which you solve some economic problems. This way, you'll learn to take strategic steps towards solving them and seek the most practical solution. So this way you'll help the adult to be, do not panic when the situation is complicated, but look for the best way out.

To be productive

To lead others - To lead others requires many skills, but they are not very difficult to learn. Of course, it's much easier when you have a natural talent in being a leader, however, the situation is not lost if nature did not want to belong to this category. Therefore, it is important to teach your students to involve themselves into a leading position, what qualities and skills a manager has.

To want to make money - this is actually the challenge of being efficient, maximizing profits and reducing costs.

Public speaking - public speaking is a remarkable event but normal. An entrepreneur masters the speech and is able to convince.

To ask themselves economic questions - questioning is part of our way of learning things. Without questions, we would never know why things happen or how they happen. Targeting economic issues are questions that best understand the entrepreneurship mechanism.

To learn from mistakes - we all make mistakes and more of them are a necessary thing for our development as people. The secret is to accept this and consider any mistake as an experience from which to draw conclusions. So a mistake viewed from the standpoint of experience loses its pejorative sense that most of us share and win even when one is positive.

How to sell - awareness of the importance of quality goods and services, price, promotion is essential.

Do not give up - it is important to teach our students to go all the way in their attempts because through perseverance, any road with ups and downs can turn at a time, in a straight one.

To be creative - without creativity we would not be able to find solutions, to get us fighting all the way, to solve problems, to lead others, to earn money, to learn from mistakes or sell. In a word, creativity is the underlying personality of an entrepreneur construction.

Be thrifty - without a hint of the economy, even the wealthiest of us would fail to maintain status. It will take many years before a child will learn how hard it is to earn money and how to manage it better.

To seek help - it is important to understand that we cannot do all the things on our own. We have to teach our students when and how to seek help, whatever the problem is.

To choose the best solutions – teach students that in life, there are quick solutions and slow solutions. There are advantages and disadvantages to both types and the choice is not always easy. But, if they think about the long term consequences of the choices, then surely they will know how to choose the best solutions.
